#1
Hi, we have a 2017 Berlingo van basic spec and I was wondering if there was a day light running lights option on these.

Not sure i understand what you mean? I doubt they would have the fancy led's fitted but not activated due to spec, they would just not fit them.

When im in your neck of the woods i just leave my headlights on this time of year it does not hurt the battery or alternator, in dim light auto headlights turn on anyway.

What gets me about DRL is the amount of numpties who drive with the drls on in bad weather and don't realise because they have never read the instruction book that they have no rear lights on.
Are we there yet????? Huh
Ex 1.6hdi van now 3 seater 1.4 multispace

What I am trying to say is there DRL but just not activated i.e is there something to switch them on in the onboard display system, I know that there's no LEDs, its probably easier to just put dip beam on in poor visibility.

You can't do that with the Bingo as the dash lights only come on with the side lights - impossible to see the dash in low light

If you have DRL's they are in the cluster just above the fog lights. The option is part of the Look pack for the vans. They're quite sizable so you can't miss them

There is I believe a option in diagbox / lexia (software that sets options in the on board ECU) that enables the low beams on at half power as daytime running lights that auto come on if the engine is running and the lights side / main have not been switched on by the driver.
There is a thread / post on here where someone turned the option on by accident and was looking for the option to turn enable dedicated led daytime running lights.
I've asked but not managed to get a answer yet.

Had my 2013 berlingo van just over a year now have always driven with the side lights on during the day mainly to make the dash easier to see. But the Citroen compared to my Honda has used way more bulbs i haven't put any bulbs in the Honda in 5 years but done both front side lights then 1 front side light 1 front main went (so replaced both) 1 rear light bulb and 2x number plate bulbs in just over a year not bad

I currently use dip headlights but often forget to turn them on, this summer in Bulgaria was such a event and as it's law to run with lights on I got a tug, thankfully when I opened the window to speak the policeman leaned in and turned them on and said you may go, which was a most pleasant surprise, but they aren't all like that !

So if anyone knows how to turn them on in diagbox, I'm all ears !
