I got to the " Other Options " bit then couldn't find the "Berlingo Responsive" bit, then when I went back to read the instructions again it back to was normal

Just for info the 'Berlingo Responsive - 1.01' is in a drop down list at the end of Other Options, but if it all ok for you now brodfather, maybe it's just by going into the edit options that seems to reset the display settings.

Whatever it was its Ok now even though nothing was changed. As you say maybe just going to edit is enough to sort it.
The Anti-Voodoo dance on the desktop had probably nothing to do with it,
