Yep - don't assume that just because the light doesn't come on that it isn't working - it just doesn't need too. Does it start ok?

The light on mine only comes on in winter.
Now an ex Berlingo owner, I have a C4

I've never seen a glowplug light come on yet. With a modern HDI diesel you just turn the key. If its starting ok theres no problem.

Correct both.
The light only comes on during cold conditions.
Does mention this in the handbook.
Had mine since April and not come on yet.
Starts first time with no problems.

Did anyone find the location of this relay? I'm just about to change mine (fault reported in Lexia) so would like to know where to look.

Is it to the left of the nearside headlight?
If not, under battery tray?
Or trace wiring from glowplugs themselves to find the relay...

Think it varies quite a lot from model to model anyway...

Happy hunting!

HI, Thanks for all the info, I still havent found the relay. It does start on the third turn of the key, the battery is quite oldish from the way it looks, battery has 12.5 volts in it,Engine turns over quickly then slows down ,seems to lack amps ??. Is it just a matter of a new battery ?? £65.00 to find out.
Once its running its goes well, 51K miles etc.

Before you change the battery check all of the heavy (high current cables) are tight at their terminals as this can soon drag battery performance down.
If the battery is showing 12.5 volts with the engine off it may be OK but have the battery tested for high current drain ability.
HTH

I have!!!

It´s near the nearside headlight - you have to remove the air intake that goes from the front grill to get at it. Once this is off look down and you´ll see it bolted to a rib at the front.
