Help to make the right decision!
#1
Hi,

I'm looking at buying a B9 Berlingo 1.6 Diesel. My budget is about £3,500. I'm struggling to find many that match my criteria being, enterprise/professional spec with less than 100,000 miles and well looked after.

My options widen if I start to consider higher mileage vans, how well do these vans last if they have had a full service history? I'm looking at keeping it for a good few years so want something that's going to serve me well.

Also, if the water pump and timing belt hasnt been changed what sort of money does it cost to get it done, and when will it need it?

Thanks to anyone who can help

The old adage"condition is more important than mileage"is so right. A proven,& it MUST be proven, full service history & a good look round the vehicle will tell you the owners' attitude to his side of the maintenance.Be very cynical & don't listen to spiel.Your eyes & ears will tell more than any seller can.Don't rush to buy, choose wisely.

Thanks for the advice mate. I wish I had the time to not rush but I'm currently without a vehicle and struggling to get to work!

is there a reason why it has to be a B9? would you consider the M59 and get one in much better condition than a B9??

Mainly because I'm not too keen on the looks and would like it to feel as modern as possible mate
