Had this issue on my 2016 model but was a while back. Not before I refilled the bloody thing right enough as the fault on it firstly was for an empty tank. Cap was already replaced few days before it checked it completely and was one of the things they did to try correct the issue. Further investigation lead to conclusion it was empty so refilled and reset and away I went. 5 days later it went again this time the pump had checked it so it was away for a new tank. However for some reason Citroen could not get one for 4 days so I went to Peugeot and provided chassis number and they had one in stock.

My car is 2016 model - 4 years old. Should I have had a recall about the cap? I have topped up the adblu 2 or 3 times since I bought the car. I have the engine fault and urea message. Local garage added some adblu on Friday but could not get warning to go out. I’m thinking it may be the tank and pump replacement needed now can anyone advise how much this is likely to cost,

Thanks

My adblue tank had to be replaced, my Berlingo was 5 months out of warranty. Robins and Day contacted Citroen on my behalf and as a goodwill gesture they supplied the tank. I had to pay £300 to have it fitted but better than £1700 that I was originally quoted.

My 1.6 went in for recalls relating to software updates. The apparently had two other recall items, one being the catalytic converter and the other the Adblue cap replacement. We had no warning light or errors other that the engine light due to the software. The dealer phoned us up saying they repaired all the recalls, but we now have a damaged Nox Sensor. We have to pay £89 for diagnostics and then another £550 to replace the sensor. Absolutely shocking from Citroen. Them must have damaged the sensor during the recall work. Luckely we got photos of the dash on drop off to confirm mileage.
How did your nox fault come about and what did they charge you?
