Hi guys,
since i am going to haul lots of bikes, toys and other kid stuff in the next years, i wonder if there are some quality rear bumper protectors? I'd love to go with the stainless steel version but i don't think there are any. Does Citroen provide one as an optional extra?

Have you done a google search? Not sure if Citroen offer anything as bone fide extras, but there are quite a few options available online - e.g. see the amazon ad below for a stainless steel one.

That stainless steel plate looks good.
On the Berlingo's I've had the part that showed signs of heavy use earliest is the black plastic trim between the loadspace carpet and the bumper, the one that the tailgate catch and spare wheel sling bolt are incorporated into.

I'm tempted too. Would be good to see what one looks like in use. Despite always being ultra careful when loading and unloading, it's inevitable that the bumper gets scratched and knocked. Are the van bumpers the same as the MPV?
The ad says the protector needs no drilling and sticks on with double sided adhesive tape, so it must be fairly strong glue to prevent it flying off as the vehicle drives along (turbulence at the rear etc.), so I guess tar and glue remover might be required if you decided to take it off for any reason.
(Edit: Can tar and glue remover be used on plastic?)

Stick some
helicopter tape over it to protect it. We've used it on bike tanks and fairings and it does the job. It's used to protect the leading edge on helicopter rotors so it's tough stuff. Comes off with a bit of warmth from a hairdryer.
So where does this bit go then ?

I chose this one because for my B9 it is profiled to also go over the horizontal lip of the bumper, which i perceived to also be likely to get bashed.

It was supplied and fitted with 3M VHB tape close to a year ago and hasn't shown any sign of moving yet, despite being put though automatic car washes and exposed to as much sun as we had in the UK last summer.
As for preparing the surface, 3M provide wipes for VHB but it is just isopropyl alcohol I believe.
The seller which I linked to is based in Ireland, so with you both being in E.U, it may well be easier for you to purchase from them than other "UK" companies at the moment.
