Hi All,
I have a 2008 M59 Berlingo van with the 1.6hdi engine.
It started miss firing a couple of weeks ago, being busy with work I dropped it off with my local mechanic. He come back saying it was an injector that was knackered and they would need to change it.
After a few days he called me saying the injector was stuck in the engine, he told me the head of the injector is steel and rusts.
I have just been down to see him and he said that they are putting spray down the injector and there is some slight movement, but he has had it 2 weeks now.
So I need some advice on weather to let the mechanic keep going and try to replace the injector, or do I call it quits and sell the van as spares or repair, I like the van and would love to save it but I have jobs coming up and wondering if its worth putting money into the van or buy a van thats a couple of years old.
If anyone has been in this situation before would love to know what you decided.
Cheers
John
