Hello

Hello,

I thought I had better introduce myself having this morning found and joined your club.

I am Pete from the wilds of rural North Yorkshire.

I have last week ordered a new Berlingo Multispace XTR 1.6 Turbo diesel (EGS semi auto) in Iron Grey. I almost went a bit mad on the options list, but in the end stuck to 'speccing' the 'Connecting Box' (for Bluetooth and a USB socket) and the Serenity Pack (heated and folding mirrors and reversing sensors). I have been told that as it will be a factory build, it will take about 10 weeks, so delivery should be sometime in late November or early December.

This is my first 'foray' into buying Citroen (or French come to that) albeit where I now work has often hired a Berlingo EGS in if I have needed to drive myself on company business at any time, so I have sort of got used to them.

I have ordered the Berlingo as I need an auto/semi-auto vehicle that has a high interior roof line and no boot lip to be able to hoist my powered wheelchair in/out in one piece (I was injured whilst serving in the Army in Iraq a few years back) and the Berlingo is one of the few vehicles which fitted the bill. I managed to negotiate a decent discount, so ordered one.

Anyway no doubt once I get the car delivered, I will be stuck with a few things (such as setting up the Bluetooth which seems to me to require someone under age of about 20 to do!) etc so will be back asking a few questionsBig Grin

Hello, and welcome. I've had my XTR e-HDI Semi-Automatic since Oct 2011 and am very happy with my purchase, hope you enjoy yours, and the use of the hired car has probably got you used to the layout of the vehicle.

Welcome fellow newby, like me! Pick my XTR up tomorrow afternoon and I'm like a kid on christmas eve. Never felt like this before about any cars I've had so here's hoping I don't get cinders in my stocking. Some right good stuff on here and reading between the lines makes me wonder why I never took the plunge a few years back!!

Welcome to our place Pete! Hope you enjoy your stay.

If you're to be loading/unloading a powered wheelchair frequently it
may be an idea to get a bumper protector. Put " citroen berlingo bumper protector "
into Google and you'll have a few to choose from. HTH
The Older I get the Better I Was!  Cool
