[Engine] 1.6hdi help
#1
1.6hdi problem which no body seems to know!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hi there im new on here and i do not have a berlingo i know but i have 1.6hdi 08 expert with a problem no one seems to have come across on
any other forums
i have an 08 expert it drives great for a while no problems but it seems when it gets hot when your lifting off the throttle to change gear and dip the clutch the engine revs surges then drops if you stop and turn off the engine wait a couple of minutes it will be fine for a while again then start doing it again after a bit more driving
ANY HELP WOULD BE GREAT AS I DONT REALLY KNOW WHERE TO START !

HI mate, you need to get a diag done before you go any further ideally with a Lexia or Autocom.

yeah i know mate but its just a case of spending the money on getting diagnostics which i will prob never use again or get ripped off at
a garage with them putting bits and bobs on it trying to sort it the problem has been there for the 5 years ive had it it doesnt affect me
really as it doesnt play up driving to work or any where locally its on longer journeys which im doing a few this year so would like
to get it sorted for that i do know mechanics as i restore classic minis as a hobby i just want
to see if someone else has had the problem or a similar one or think it sounds like it could be so i can try a couple of things
i think it could possibly be the turbo over boosting maybe due to a faulty actuator  ??

Hi there unless you get a diagnosis you are basically pissing in the wind, you don't have to buy the diagnostic equipment just find someone in your area say an independent citroen/Peugeot garage or a member on the forums with the lexia software to look for stored fault codes then you will know where to start looking or know the part that is playing up. If you try it your way blindfolded its just hit and miss. Not everyone is out to rip owners off just ask around through friends and on forums for a good garage in your area.
Are we there yet????? Huh
Ex 1.6hdi van now 3 seater 1.4 multispace

Take it to a Peugeot main dealer workshop, get diagnostic done & get it fixed. They will not rip you off. They will though use oe parts which may cost more than cheap Chinese crap on ebay. If you want the car to run right then you need to get it diagnosed as described, it will be easiest & ultimately cheapest way.

You could try and clean the MAF but be very careful but has the other have said some one with a lexia or the dealer would be best

Or but a obd11 interface of eBay that talk to iPhone/android.... They're 60aud here and use wifi.. Read and clear faults and also can via your chosen app look at some information like boost pressure
