Prior to purchasing my Berlingo Multispace (10-plate XTR 110PS) just a month ago, my research told me that my bikes would go in without taking wheels off but I wasn't at all sure how best to secure them. Now after a few trials and errors I have a good solution for 2 bikes and thought this might be interesting for other existing or prospective owners. I'm still investigating securing a 3rd and 4th bike but that's not really a priority for me.
With respective rear seats removed I'm strapping the rear wheel rim to the forward-most seat anchor bar, the front wheel rim to the rear load-space cargo anchor point, and looping a strap through the upper rear seat-belt anchor and around the top-tube. As you can see from the pictures there is still masses of space for other luggage and/or the middle rear seat if required. My bikes are "medium" (M) frame size (53/54cm seat-tube), a large (L) or extra-large (XL) will probably require the rear-wheel to slide up beside the front seat. The webbing straps are made up from 15mm polyester webbing, with "tri-glide" and "ladder-lock" nylon buckles sourced via eBay and require no sewing.

the bikes are totally solid and hardly even wobble at all.
You can even strap to boot points if you wanted for added safety in the event of a crash etc

I wont go near Planet X again after having awful customer service. Had 2 sets of wheels fail on me- 1st being the spokes pulling out of the rims, 2nd when the spokes AND hub bearings failed within 6 months of having them. Their return policy is useless as the wheels were older than 28 days. I argued to the point that these wheels are clearly not fit for purpose and wanted a full refund. I didn't get one, instead had them replaced with another set of their own brand wheels which i sold to get any money back. Not worth the hassle and stress- steer well clear IMO.
As for the car setup, I can't see the pics but i basically remove the left rear seat, front bike wheel, and then use tie down straps over the handlebar/stem and use the anchor loops in the boot. still plenty of room for the seat in the boot and all kit/spare wheels. Plus now the windows are tinted i can get changed in the back with nobody looking in.
LOVE the car as I can warm up for a rainy race under the boot lid on the turbo.........

Here are two mountainbikes in older multispace. No wheels remowed. One is 26' and the other is 27.5' and still room for gear and three people. My super long DH bike just about fits without remowing the front wheel.
