Multi Function Display Removal
#1
Any idea how to get out the lcd display of a 2012 berlingo van. The display has some lines across it similar to the attached pic.  [Image: hqdefault.jpg]
The dash is similar to this one -

Don't want to start ripping stuff out without some advice on screw locations.

Took mine out on my 2008 Berlingo Multspace a few months back to get the part number of the display. There are no screws. The display surround is simply clipped in place. I used a set of plastic trim removal tools to get underneath and carefully lever off [you need at least two tools to lever up the clips] The whole surround comes off complete with the display which has a quick release connector for the display power/data. The display then [I think] then unscrews from the surround. When you refit it after plugging it back in you have to reset all the time/date etc. Another thing to note is that, when removing the surround sometimes the clip stays on the surround bit you are removing and sometimes stays on the dash part of the vehicle, before refitting make sure all the clips are on the surround part you have removed otherwise it doesn't like to clip back in place correctly.

Cheers, Yeah, I didnt see any screws either but they usually appear when you have something half way out and have knackered it !.

I'll have a go with some of those plastic removal tools tomorrow.

Took it out without any problems but it's not well. 1 line of dead pixels right in the middle of the screen where you would select menu items. I will need to invest in new one.
