corrosion engine bay - haveagoamigo - 19-09-2016

Hi

Does the M59 - 2005 berlingo suffer with corrosion in the engine bay and under bonnet edge lip,

i have had to rub down inner bonnet where it secures and left hand engine bay give it red oxide and paint it black.

do i need to worry about the rust under the bonnet and in the engine bay?

Mine is the very light blue colour, does anyone know the code for this colour to help match touch up paint?

any advice greatly welcomed

many thanks

The paint code should be on a plate on the passenger side under the bonnet near the battery

I've used it for donkeys years.Squirt into seams first.Thin in cold weather & put two or more coats on.Mix with underseal for "wear" areas.

Ron there is another product worth a mention the body shops use it when they do a repair to doors or sills its called, Wurth Cavity Spray

It is very good for doors and sills - it is very thin and runs into the smallest of gaps
