Paint - Side door support runner - Mindyerlingo - 22-07-2017

Paint starting to flake off on side door bottom support runners. I could be totally wrong but it looks like it was a powder coat job when first applied? Anyone had this happen to them? Satin black is original colour.
It's just where the roller / guide arm constantly slides. I was erring on "hammerite satin smooth" spray.
Anyone point me in a direction. Many thanks in advance, it's been a while since I logged in and posted but nice to be back all the same!

Mine has done that as well 2013 van side door runner on outside in middle of back panel

Not just me then. Worried about an arms and legs job! In situ repaint if possible rather than door / harness and all supports removal to do a good job which looks to be the way to go. It's the re alignment that puts me off going that route. Ah well, in for a penny I suppose!

I wouldn't try to spray it on van thats why i have left mine but i do look at it every time i open the door or fill with fuel

I have the same issue. I took 1 off the other day, 2 min job no ré alignment issues. Was thinking of respraying myself. Not difficult just need descent weather and not to use it for at least a week after to let it cure. It will go again though.

i just had a look at mine again and would be happy if it all just flaked off as its black underneath as well so if i ever get round to it would just strip all the black off and put it back on

You can get chrome trims that just stick on as a simple solution

Hi mine has done exactly the same !!!! on LHS only. Seems as you say a bonding issue with the aluminium rail. I have submitted pics of mine to Citroen but am still awaiting their reply (hoping for a warranty repair)

What are these chrome trims and where can yo get them ????
