I bought a 14 plate Berlingo and at 3 years and 3 months with 58000 miles on I got up one morning and thought a bit of grey plastic was stuck on the side of the van but when I got closer it was where the paint had literally fallen off. The van had not had a bang so was strange, I took it to 3 different bodywork specialist including an AA paintwork specialist all of which said it is a paint or paint application fault therefore go back to Citroen. I went back to Citroen and all they kept saying was "its out of warranty" nothing to do with us and there new phrase is "but you bought it second hand so its your responsibility".
Anyone had any paint or paintwork issues with their berlingo?

I have the same problem with the paint flaking on the driver's side door runner. It's galvanised steel as noted in an earlier post so it won't rust easily but rubbing down will go through the zinc. I've seen the SSteel covers on ebay so might go down that route, but wondered about the warranty.
Has anyone had any luck claiming on the paint warranty on a 2nd hand car?

Edit: Looks like the paint warranty is only 3 years so no good on my 6yr old, there's a 12 year 'anti perforation' warranty if it rusts from the inside. On the plus side, it does look like the warranty goes with the car, not just the first owner.
