B9 cambelt etc - labeline - 13-01-2019

Apologies if this is covered elsewhere. My 12/2009 1.6 XTR , 75000 miles is due a cambelt/tensioner/water pump change this year. As far as I am aware it has never had an auxiliary belt change either so I wanted to get one to do it at the same time. There seem to be multiple lengths from 1710mm down to high 800’s.  I can’t even see how that belt runs looking down in the engine bay and there are no numbers I can see on the belt. Can anyone steer me in the right direction?

The belt length can depend on things like aircon, there are also some variations between belt makers for the same application.

I thought the cambelt change on a 1.6D is 150k?

Take a look here:
https://www.catcar.info/citroen/?lang=en&l=

Or try your reg in Eurocarparts / GSF.

There are a few variations.

with AC, Without AC, Electric Power Steering, Hydraulic power steering and any combination of those.

Or 10 years, which ever comes first.

Aha, 10 years! Good point.

Thanks for the replies. I guess the only way to find out is to take it off and measure it. I will take a look at eurocarparts parts but Mister Auto here gives me multiple options. It has aircon and power steering which I have always assumed is electric as there is no reservoir. The catcar info searched on VIN didn’t help much as it still gives multiple options. It doesn’t have stop start which at least rules out one of the options! Just checked ecp and they don’t list them here. I will go down to the dealer and get one from them. I will order a Gates timing belt kit from Mr Auto.

If you know a friendly trader, a main dealer cambelt and waterpump kit is less than 150 Wink

I agree just ask a main dealer, Genuine parts are a lot cheaper in FR, more competition between dealers.

An aux belt won't be much.
