Partner 1.9D overhearing idle - JOP3L - 19-05-2019 Hi I still have my issue with overheating in traffic when I get up to speed the air cools it back down so I’ll start with what I’ve changed to help. New radiator New relays New fan New coolant I’ve read something about the fuses I’ve checked the fuse box in the engine bay but heard something about another fuse box underneath that one? Anyone any ideas what could be left I don’t have a multi meter or faulty code reader to use RE: Partner 1.9D overhearing idle - polar - 19-05-2019 So the cooling fan is not cutting in? No, changed the fan also RE: Partner 1.9D overhearing idle - polar - 20-05-2019 So you need a multimeter to test for power but have you changed the fan sensor yet? I cant remember where it is on the 1.9 it could be in the rad or the thermostat housing. Until you can get to do something you could wire up a switched wire so you can turn the fan on manually, if it keeps getting hot you could damage the head gasket, crack the head or crack a liner. It’s due it’s MOT next week so might just throw in the towel and get them to do it and get the mot done at the same time |
