Mounting a reverse camera - paulod - 20-05-2020 Hi, Would anyone have any idea where to mount a reverse camera. In the Berlingo the back windows are white and the number plate is stuck to the chassis. Where would you even run the wire? The only option I can see is to cut a small square hole in the bumber but would want to avoid that if possible. Thanks. I have installed the front dashcam so I will go with one of these options. Never thought I could replace the light. My number plate lamps are nothing like the one you linked, they are clipped at one end and then screwed in from inside. Mine are the all black ones with tiny white panels at the bottom for the light to get through. What I ended up doing as I already got the reverse camera with the front camera I took out the rear light assembly which was only 2 screws. I was then able to put this into the van facing me and was able to put the car in reverse so I could see which bulb was the reverse light. I then got a resistance meter and was able to derermine the positive wire on the connector going into the assembly. I took the red reverse wire that came with the camera and wedged it into the connector. All tested and working. With a bit of double sided tape I mounted the camera under the number plate light. https://ibb.co/8ML5XXX |
