Dtc 2291 - hugopinho - 05-10-2020

Hi

I'm new here in the forum.

I've allready done a search for how to solve my problem, but I can't find any solution.

I have a problem with a Citroen Berlingo, 1.6 HDI, 9HZ engine, 2015.
Ecu EDC17C10.
The car has power problems, sometimes it cuts off.
Initially it had these two dtc errors: P2291 and P0087
I've changed the fuel filter, but the error P2291 remains.
It seems that it stopped the cut off, but it has problems to start (when we turn the ignition switch it delay to start). This happens in  cold or hot.

I've also changed the fuel pipes, nut the problem remains.

Anyone had a similar problem? Any sugestion.

Best regards

Thanks in advanced

HugoPinho

It could be the crank sensor. I would start there. Without looking up these codes, this is my best estimate.

The P2291 code is low cranking fuel pressure but could still be related to the crank sensor giving no signal. The ECU will shut off the fuel if the crank sensor stops sending a signal. Beyond that the fuel pressure sensor could be bad.

There was a recall on the 2015 for replacement of the pump cable had mine done in Spain. Cured my problem on a starting issue.
