p3008 fault after egr change - Tikki - 05-08-2021

just changed my egr on my b9 220k km. 1,6hdi 75hp.

and what a difference in sound from the engine. idles like a cat now. and more power.

But some times in low rpm the car misfires until i give it more gass. then it runs fine.
lexia gives me the error code:
P3008
Temporart fault, flowmeter signal airflow to high.

Engine speed: 1799rpm
Average airflow: 1016kg/h
messured airflow: 541 mg/cp
intake air temp: 24'c

semes to me this is the MAF sensor. any other ideas.

Did you recalibrate the new EGR in Diagbox/Lexia? The ECU needs to know the min/max or the valve travel in the new EGR.

Sometimes replacement EGR valves are not machined very well. I had a new replacement Haas EGR valve and do not quite remember what the error was, but it was intermittently giving an error. I opened it up and the channel that the small metal bar was moving inside was rough and snagging from time to time. It was just badly made, another one fixed that.
