Socket on radio facia - Tonyash - 05-02-2022

Does the socket on the radio facia (av input?) have a function?
My Multispace XTR has this and I’ve never been able to plug and connect anything to it.
Many thanks

If you mean the 3.5mm socket (jack style) then yes, you have to plug a 3.5mm stereo jack male-male in there between say phone and stereo, and select AUX from the mode button - then when you play music or would hear the phone make any sound (incoming text etc) the sound will come through the car speakers.

The USB section is to use an iPod or a USB stick with MP3s on it in plainly named folders (no more than 8 chars, no spaces or non letter/number chars) etc and it can also play those. I can't do both at the same time.

Thanks Zion, will give it a go.
I’ve tried many times to activate but never managed until now.
Cheers

Get a USB stick no more than 8gb I think from memory though it might be able to use a 16 but no larger. Drop some MP3 tracks onto it on your PC / laptop / Mac, then eject and put into the car USB slot. Turn the stereo on and select AUX as the input source. It should be on screen that it can see tracks, hit the pause/play button to start play. The left / right arrows allow you to skip tracks.
