What do you guys like to get up to in your spare time? - LukeC - 09-10-2023 Sorry if this has been done before, I'm just curious. For me it's XC biking. Mainly trail centres though haven't been out in a while. And photography, my theme was always dereliction and decaying buildings, but again not been out recently. RE: What do you guys like to get up to in your spare time? - RattyCortina - 09-10-2023 Restoring old industrial engines and associated tat, collecting old signs, tins and machine plates ect and building model cars and vans... and playing with my Berlingo of course! RE: What do you guys like to get up to in your spare time? - Sol - 09-10-2023 Electronics projects and programming, sad really to do at home what I do at work but it's different stuff. Not that I have a heap of spare time after work, cos I don't. Also have other "hobbies" that I never seem to get around to enough, like playing the banjo, landscape and architectural drawing, gaming on my Xbox One or the gaming PC I built. Currently doing Dying Light 2 on the Xbox and The Last Of Us Remastered on the PC (played it through many many times on the PS4 prior to switching to Xbox) RE: What do you guys like to get up to in your spare time? - LukeC - 09-10-2023 If it's any consolation Zion. I'm out of work, I don't seem to get any time for myself, my bike is in storage an hour and a half away, plus needs a lot of TLC, and my camera is in Denmark at the moment. Just in the process of rebuilding my life after it all fell apart for the 3rd time. Got an interview lined up, and other applications open. Back to truck driving for me (I'm now awaiting a hail of abuse and rotten veg). RE: What do you guys like to get up to in your spare time? - Romahomepete - 09-10-2023 I run a 1958 land rover Peter RE: What do you guys like to get up to in your spare time? - Sol - 09-10-2023 (09-10-2023, 05:54 PM)LukeC Wrote: If it's any consolation Zion. Nothing wrong with truck drivers. As a project a landy would be nice. Though when I was about 15 I made a mistake. I was offered a barn find BMW isetta for free. I thought about it and by the time I decided to have it, it had gone for cash. It would have been a good investment. I have a history of bad decision making. HFA is a blessing and a curse, bad decisions being one. Usually way better at something which everyone else struggles with - but rubbish at the normal stuff which others seem to manage fine eh. Oh and a tic. That went down well at school. My biggest regret was selling a 1978 RS2000 for £750, in 1985. Would be worth over £50k now. But even Picasso didn't get millions for his paintings, at the time! Lol. It brings a smile to my face every time I sit in it. I have just had a weekend away camping and green laning in Wales and it will be on the Series 2 stand at the NEC Classic car show in November. It is not a show pony, it is a well used 750000 mile vehicle. WE also have a Berlingo based Romahome R20 camper I think they are enough to keep me busy Peter |
