Cheers! RE: Identifying Your Berlingo - pk7478 - 29-12-2010 Not at all. I suppose this will solve some problems with identification of our cars. RE: Identifying Your Berlingo - hunter - 25-09-2012 this is a useful thread any chance it could be stickied RE: Identifying Your Berlingo - SeeRed in Sidmouth - 09-11-2012 I am trying to come to terms with the number of modifications to these vehicles - I have one to mend for a friend. It is a Mk 1 MPV - one of the last of the 1998 to 2002 range , made in May 2002. The engine is a DW8 (not sure if it's DW8B) and the gearbox is a BE3 type 20TE24. The main issues are the clutch/gearbox - clutch is stiff, linkage worn, sometimes jumps out of gear, is it possible to fit a later BE4 gearbox as a direct replacement? Are the driveshafts the same, the flywheel the same, etc? Or would it be better to stick with the BE3? Thank you! RE: Identifying Your Berlingo - Mindyerlingo - 09-11-2012 What a man! Excellent post for novice newby like myself and old hands also no doubt. RE: Identifying Your Berlingo - Jayspug86 - 28-02-2014 Whats the difference between mk1 and mk2 2.0 hdi gearbox RE: Identifying Your Berlingo - Gadgetman - 06-03-2014 May be wrong, but... 1999 was the first year with coloured plastic on the wing mirrors. Also, I believe that was the year they introduced the 'secret' storage compartments in the floor in front of the rear seats. (Secret because I know of at least one Berlingo owner who had no clue that they were there... ) |
