Remote central locking - sandman - 09-08-2013 Hi everyone. I have a 59 plate berlingo van. It has central locking which works with the key only, it's not remote keyless entry. I have bought a kit to convert it to keyless entry but I'm having trouble finding out which original wires do what job in the van itself. Wiring diagrams, colour codes and workshop manuals are not available for this van. Can anyone out there shed a bit of light on the situation (supply a wiring diagram or a colour code list)? as I am fed up with this 20th century locking system!! Thanks in advance!! RE: Remote central locking - Tikki - 10-08-2013 dont know if this help. but. on the cars i have mounted Remote key entery. i have always found the airpump, and found the wires that way. or take of the door panel and find the cable that goes to the Lock actuators and hook up to the cable that way, you need to mesure the Power to find the right one. in newer cars they use only one cable bundle. its just plug and play for the dealer ship if you need more extras like cruse controll, extra 12v socket in the boot etc. i dont have the flashlight and12v socket in boot, cruse controll. but the wireing is all there redady to install. plugg and play/pay so the plugs for the oem Remote locking system should be there. look in the fuse boks and fint the fuse, and follow the cable. RE: Remote central locking - sandman - 11-08-2013 Thanks Tikki, I'll continue to investigate. |
