What a bargain someone got!! - tucker - 21-05-2011

This looks like a very good buy for £700. Someones got this at a snip.

2003 petrol multispace, family owned from new with only 41K, full MOT and FSH?

If it wasn't so far away, I'd have had it for a spare:

bargain buy?

that is very cheap, I'd have probably had a shot at that had I seen it!! you could strip it for parts and get more than the sale price if it turned out to be a lemon!

I know.

It had a buy it now price of £3200, so I suspect he is wishing he'd put a reserve on it.

At 41K the engine has to be worth more than that alone?

I wonder if the seller will go through with the deal?

The engine is surely worth 500 and the gearbox 200?

Even if the engine is kaput, spend 800 on fitting a new engine and sell it on for 3.5k?

I wonder if it's HPI?accident clear?

I think he would have to go through with it. It sold to the highest bidder so that is the risk with ebay.

I think I would have put the start price at 2k myself.

I have won some crazy deals off e-bay where the seller has honoured a ridiculously low price, but the seller does have the right to remove from sale or to state that the item is no longer for sale for example because it has become "irreparably broken" between the time of closure of the sale and before the buyer contacted them.
I have also been messed about by sellers who have sold items that they infact never even had in stock and have forced a full refund from them.
