To begin with I'd go into defensive mode ....
Carry a spare gallon of diesel of course.
However I'd start driving by using the odometer as a " fuel gauge " to have some other form of reference.

Cannot give a bearing number but would say you’ll likely be better off buying a second hand unit from a breaker / eBay they don’t seem to go for much money.

You can reuse the original clips ... mine were reused several times over and still good.
Just have a good memory or take a few photos if dementia is creeking onto you ... Lol ! |
