Beware of prying on the outside as the border is very thin. I did but luckily had a tube of super glue handy for the repair!  :blush: :cool:

I don't think so. Most people like that facility especially when you have had to replace one that got knocked off. £170 straight off and that was a non-motorised/heated one!

Would it be an idea to find a quite road somewhere and actually try some heavy breaking to see if the ABS actually works/is present. That may even clear the fault.
