If you want the simplest, most basic, you want a Pre-2000 M49. No BSI, no CAN-bus, not much else, either... you may want to start stocking up some parts, though. Some are beginning to disappear ...

For me it's both range and the fact that it looks pants! The M49 is the best looking Berlingo. The M59 is close, but the headlights just doesn't suit it.

The MOT is a 'just this moment' status, not a 'this part is going to fail soon, replace it' and while the technician doing the insspection might tell the owner about things that may fail in the future...

M49? Are you certain it's OIL it's complaining about? This model has an issue with the brake fluid. It needs to be topped up to MAX at all times. If it drops, he 'Stop' signal will activate.

Okay... first off, you're car's a M59, not an M49.(M49 is the 're facelift' with narrow headlights, 1996 - 2003), and old? Mine's a real M49, and 1999 model. Never EVER use those 'miracle cures...
