PS Mike, I had to cut the ends off the fasterners with a stanley knife so they would fit, I also applied a small amount of sealant to ensure a tight fit. |

I got these seem Ok, however it took me a while to clean out the holes which they fit into as they were full of road sludge and muck.

Scubaboy, I think you are right, both the fasteners are missing so this would account for the noise. Whats the best remedy get new fasteners I suppose.?? |

Loveley British weather we are having , anyway I was driving along in a thunderstorm and went through some large puddles and the exhaust(I think ) started making an herendous knocking noise which went... |

Dave Ja Vu. I have a 1.9 D Multispace with terrible steering wobble around 65 mph, thought it was wheel balance probem but obviously not. !! |

I had a similar prob when my lazy lout son knocked my mirror when passing down the drive on his mtn bike, a bit of gorilla tape did the trick. and a kick up the a**se also did the trick for him. |

It could have been a lot worse by the sounds of it, it could have been the Mother in law. I do wish car manufacturers would make somewhere for a Mother in Law to be stored, neatly but not neccessarily... |
