Post: RE: Sleeping comfortably in your Berlingo?
I sleep in the back of my L2 van regularly when I'm greater than 150 miles from home, in order to pick up backloads the next day. As a 6 footer, even the L2 at 193cm payload length is too short, so I ... |

Thread: Thinking of a berlingo, are they reliable
Post: RE: Thinking of a berlingo, are they reliable
I ran a 2010 1.6 HDi L2 van for 343,000 miles from new. I had a turbo fail at circa 270,000 miles, but it cost £400 to fix. Had to buy 2 new front coil springs which I changed myself £170 the pair. Al... |

I have owned a B49 '56' reg 1.6 HDi, and two B9 1.6 Hdis, a '10' and a '15' reg. All have been well and truly thrashed at motorway speeds on a daily basis doing courier work.

Post: RE: 1.9 XUD or 1.6 HDi ?
I've had both engines. The 1.9D (2003 van) felt pretty unburstable (I once drove from Southampton to Leeds at 80 mph non-stop), but even driving normally, the best mpg I could get was 42mpg. My next v... |

You need to specify which Mark of vehicle you have BigC e.g B49, B9 etc. Mark 2 can need a cambelt at 75,000 miles, but a Mark 3 (like mine) I changed it at 120,000 miles. Mark 2 needs oil and filter ... |

I used an aerosol of tyre sealant once, and found that it gummed up the valve in such a way that an auto-shutoff (at the correct pressure) tyre inflator, would not work correctly on that tyre. |
