i say photo 1 but try it on there is only 1 way if you get it wrong then it wont touch the flywheel .

broken wires or faulty bsi if there is 1 present cheapest way round if its bsi but allot of work cheap central locking kit off ebay.

had the same problem inside plastic container is a bag winch leaks due to high temperature i.o.w summer its visible as a connector leak but it is inside there are more models of the tank beware.

stupid question : did you put the pump in the right set off 3 holes on the plate on my bingo there were 6 holes 3 for bosch and 3 for the other make   with other words if you have the wrong set off ho...

on second thought that relay if you shake it  can you anything in it that's lose aim asking because with mercedes  there was a issue many moons ago with bad relays they brake a tab off over time with ...

air in fuel  my thought  and  did you take the pump off the support  if yes  timing ? try gravity feeding the pump : just coke bottle cut underside off   hole in the cap litter smaller than the hose ...
