You just need to leave it for a little time so it can reset it self .

One more thing have you checked the fuse , i do believe there are one for the nearside , one for the offside .

One other thing to do is wax the headlights on a regular basis , the wax will stop the UV from damaging lens , i do mine never had a problem .

If you take the nearside front plastic wheel arch protector off you will find a rubber grommet by the bottom of the arch you can feed it through there not an easy job but no drilling holes.

Yep it is the way PSA group have set the auto wipers up , the same on Vauxhalls too , i put mine on manual at least I have some control over them . I wish it would work with the Kids  :s
