Just my two penneth worth. I wouldn’t consider this job at less than 5 hours, you need to drop the subframe, so it’s a bit of a job. An LUK clutch kit or Valeo is going to be £100 give or take tenne...

I have a little air powered grinder, (think dentist drill). It’s great for carefully removing corrosion from the sensor groove . The air gap should be tiny, probably 2mm or less. Hope this helps.

Your discs & pads won’t be causing the issue, it’s more likely that you have a problem with the air gap between sensor & pickup ring, or contamination in this area.

If the car was mine, I would be removing the sump @ checking for debris in there, and checking the pick up for blockage. Yours will be a 16 valve engine & that light is the early sign of terminal ...

We can do the cruise control activation for anyone who struggles. We usually keep a couple of switches in stock, the aftermarket ones are fine at about £20.

The issue is caused by a little too much toe in on the rear axle I believe. This is set by Citroen when the manufacture the beam axle & is not designed to be adjusted. Apologies for not looking in...
