I don't believe any of M59 1.6 hdi's had a DPF fitted so no Eolys system . . .  not sure how that happened, maybe something to do with when the vehicle was manufactured ? .

Wedge the brake pedal down an inch with something , this will stops any fluid flow. .

The pulley should come off when you remove the 3 x 13mm bolts, you don't need to remove the the main crankshaft bolt. The pulley may be rusted in place so you will need to use a hammer & a piece ...

Yes the i.6 HDI's do cool down quickly. The 1.6 HDI's are an all alloy engine so the engine will loose its heat a lot faster than diesel engines that have a cast iron block. .

The wiper rack will be the much the same on all M59's regardless of year. The B9 will be different as it's a different shape vehicle. .

Most M59's have the 266mm discs & rear drums. As far as I know the only M59's that have the larger 283mm discs are fitted with ESP (Traction Control), these also have rear discs in place of drums...
