[Engine] Hot Weather Hill Start
#1
This may not be the right place to put this query, but for the past few weeks my journey home means waiting at roadwork traffic lights on Barnes railway bridge slope in hot weather (around 25-28 degrees). When the lights go green and it's time to pull away up the slope nothing happens for a few seconds, then it roars away and goes too fast.
The eco stop device works and I wonder if it's because of the slope or the heat. It recently had a Citroen dealer service with new fuel filter, and MOT with no recommendations. It's a 2014 airdream 90 VTR auto, 30K mileage, which is brilliant except for this problem.

Any ideas?

Mine does this, it's the eco device. I disable mine every time I start the engine, waste of time..

My Auto is the same, it looses its finesse the older it gets.
Eco on/off makes no difference, its nothing, nothing, CHARGE!!!!

Usually its at its worst when someone flashes you out on a busy junction and you try to move off quickly, the person flashing must think Im a right boy racer wheel spinning off in a berlingo.

Thanks. My wife does this whenever she drives the Bingo; she calls it the Slug.

Now I know that it's not just my Bingo I'm not too worried. I do switch the Eco off if I'm crawling along in traffic as I don't want to run the battery down. In the winter I've found the Eco won't activate when I have the wireless, heater fan and headlights all on while waiting at traffic lights. My 1955 Ford Popular windscreen wiper ran off the manifold inlet so they didn't work when you accelerated. Looks as though modern technology still isn't quite right.
