[Engine] Turbos . . .

I`ve heard though not on this site, that turbos can give expensive trouble. Oilways becoming clogged, resulting in a pricey garage job. Around £1200 or more . . .
My car`s 3yo and hasn`t given problems; indeed we`re well chuffed with it overall, and would like to leep it for another 3 or 4 years.
What`s the best way to avoid turbo probs?
