Berlingo 2014 Teletrac - Smartnav

Hi Guys

Just got my new van from company I work for. There is Teletrac screen unit fitted and wondering if that means if vehicle is being tracked without my knowledge. Any ideas how to check that without asking employer directly?

Hello Greg, if you know it's there how can it be tracked without your knowledge ? If they are going to track you for any purpose other than records they have to inform you.

But my question is how can I know if tracker has been fitted?
Does having Teletrac Satnav unit on board means that tracker is there?

BYO satnav, jiggle plug loose in back of original screen, see if anything is said...

The tracker isnt usually in the satnav screen.
There will be a blackbox eleswhere.There may be a gps antenna up in the windsreen.There capability of tracking your whwreabouts is inherent to the device whole reason for existance.
Youre stuck between a rock withthis one .You either activate/register yourself as the owner and be tracked have to exract yourself from investigation should the vehicle be stolen.
Ive had two Blingos withthem fitted as tandard and not made any use of the things.Still got a brand new screen from the 2010 if anyones interested...
