Cav (Car/Van) for dog and me
#1
Hello
We (me and the dog) got our xtr 08 plate the other day. Im very happy with the cav, and so is my dog by the looks of her, and i do hope that Berl is going to be ok about having to park up in the city.
This is the first cav ive driven, so the obvious differences from a car are the position of seating in relation to foot peddles, and the position of gear stick - Ive adapted to both without any trauma, and am delighted with the results. I had thought that it would be a bit of a shock to the system, as i have been told that i will loose the comfort of driving a car, but i find that i dont have a problem, if anything, perhaps i even prefer the new seating position and gear stick position, but i'll be able to comment on that after a few more days.
The dog, from what i can observe, does seem ok travelling around. I've reclined the back seats as far as possible (with the boot cover still in). I did brake a bit suddenly and the dog came sliding off the seats and ended up in the footwell, but she didnt seem too p%%%ed off with me. The dog is going to continue travelling on the back seats for a few more days, and then i will remove one of the seats to see whether she prefers the seat or floor. (I suspect that the floor will be too bumpy for her.)
Our plans for Berl, are to accompany him (obviously) up to scotland asap to show him the highlands.
Thats all for now

It is with regret that I had to take Berl back to dealer (see my post in mk3).
