Advice / Suggestions please. Earlier today our 03 2 litre HDi Van started misbehaving. It won't accelerate and has no power. The engine seems to be running fine otherwise! I'm guessing ECU trouble? Any thoughts? I know new ECU's from Citroen are very expensive so if it is the ECU any recommendations for re-build supplier?

Before you start spending money on an ecu.
Is the eml on?
Can you rev above 3000rpm?

The ECU is the last thing that will be wrong with it, spend a little money on a diagnostic session , it may well be a simple fix.
Biggest issue with the hdi is the airflow meter .

Unplug the airflow meter and see if that cures it, it's a 5 or six pin plug attached to the air filter housing...

Solved! Air Intake moulded hose detached from air filter body. It's only a push fit! Now held on by cable tie. Van working perfectly. Thank you all.
