Retrofit Cruise control without ABS - Anyone done it?
#1
Rainbow
Hi

Have a 2004 2.0 HDi multispace (Siemens injection). No ABS but wondered if anyone has got CC working without ABS so I can go ahead and buy a stalk and have my long lost friend back - cruise control.

There's a 4-wire brake switch and a clutch switch fitted as standard (only 2 wires coming out of the clutch switch but think it's a 4-wire switch).

I have a few long journeys coming up and I get problems with my achilles tendons, so would love to get this sorted. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Abs doesn't matter to cruise control, as long it can see vehicle speed it will function, however and it's a big however.... Your clocks may or may not support cruise control... They did an option in clocks, either with it without cruise, if you try configuring it in the clocks lexia will either say configuration not possible or configured, bee ended up fitting an aftermarket cruise control kit to one to get around this very issue...

Brake switches mainly have four wires on peugeot/citroens, one side for the lights, and the other two pins for ecus, clutch switches only ever have two just for reference of anyone reading this in the future Wink

I have similar situation. No ABS like you. Everything is enabled in Lexia
but cruise control not working. After reading multiple other forums
the problem is in BSI software version. In my software version CC
is disabled. BSI firmware version can only be updated by dealer.
Or you can buy online one time for 30 euros. But I am not
sure it will work with chine Lexia clone Smile

Today I have found out that pp2000 v7.45 for Peugeot offers offline
BSI update. I am hoping that Lexia will offer the same....

I will try an report if I have success....

Do your clocks allow you configure cruise when you go in as berlingo (if you go in as a 206 the options there but error in configuration or similar comes up) if not you need a new set of clocks for cruise or you'll never get it working...

Thanks for the replies, please do report back if you get it working.

I pretended that I knew what you were talking about when you mentioned clocks dumdum but I don't understand. What clocks can you replace?

In my case in version Lexia 7.32 there was an option to configure CC
in BSI , in version 7.36 that option was not there. Explanation for
that is that firmware in my BSI does not accept CC and older Lexia
was just showing the option. You can clik on it and Lexia responded: Configured OK! but CC is not working.
On another forum I have read that on older Pug 206 CC is not configurable. When you try to configure it
"clocks" go nuts. But when you update Pug 206 BSI and ECU to latest firmware CC works normali and without speed limiter.
