[Steering & Suspension] The pulsing, nudging, kickback on the steering . . . .maybe a solution
#1
Hi all,
Seeing as though I've had trouble with this & been through a maze of troubleshooting & replacement parts fitted to try & solve this issue, I just want to ask all the other members who have had this problem a question . .

Have you all had a replacement rack fitted before this problem started?

Does it pull to one side? Have you tired changing any of your tyres to solve it? I know this is a different vehicle but my Vauxhall Combo had a dodgy tyre on the drivers side, it was causing it to pull to the left and I could feel a pulsation through the steering wheel at low speed. I swapped it for the spare and the issue went away. Apparently this is a common symptom that you get when the belts inside the tyre have separated from the carcass but is often mistaken for a suspension or steering problem.

It's worth rotating tyres from front to rear on one side to see if the problem gets better or worse. If it gets worse then rogue tyre will be on front, if it gets better it will be on back, if no different then repeat process on opposite side. If there's no difference after doing this on both side then you can probably rule out tyre issues?
