If you jack up the wheel and grasp it at 12 and 6 and rock you will see movement if the bearing has gone , it should have minimal movement if it is ok. Although it can be hard to tell.
Also whilst jacked up spin the wheel in neutral and have a listen for grinding noises coming from the center of the wheel.

I jacked her up and shock the wheel as u said and the wheel is good no play in it.I put a spin on it and thered no noises only the normal brake disc noise.I went for drive just there and let her run down hill with engine off and sound is there.is there any thing else I can check under the van before I bring it to a mechanic?

Not a good idea to let it roll down a hill with engine off as you do not have full control of the vehicle and I do not think the brakes will work but I could be mistaken.

The brakes will work fine, you just have to press a little harder as you won't have servo assist with the engine off.

i checked them there so tight i could barely get them off to check for small stones on disc.
an update to this is i jacked up the front 2 wheels seperately and started the van and ran the wheels in first gear.i found that the noise was only there in the left side of the van.so i have it narrowed down to the left while bearings(even tho the wheel as no play) or shaft bearings.has anyone had this problem and what did they do and how much did it cost?

Like I said its hard to tell unless you know the noise if the wheel bearing has gone.
Its more than likely the wheel bearing to be honest.
If you have access to a short piece of hosepipe you can use this to pinpoint the noise , cheap and effective.
A wheel bearing is a quick job to do for a mechanic should cost you no more than the price of the bearing and a hour or two labour.
