Waxoyl
#1
I have been given a large drum of Waxoyl plus the relevant applicators, not been one to waste anything I intend to use it on my Berlingo. Anybody know of any do's & don'ts?
Thank you in anticipationConfusedalut:Confusedalut:Confusedtudy:Confusedtudy:

Lay a tarpaulin on the floor under the vehicle as it can be a messy affair, don't do it on the lawn either.
Best done on a warm day with the waxoyl warmed up in a bucket of hot water. Wear a pair of glasses just in case.

Don't forget to treat any rust etc before applying.

And make sure the underside is clean to.

Apply after a few dry days & in warm weather.Coat brake pipes with no fear(rubber as well).2 thin coats are better than 1 thick coat as what drips off doesn't rustproof. On "wear areas" mix with underseal & apply 1 week after original wax coat. The rear silencer can be treated as it doesn't get hot enough to burn but leave 24 h before long run.Any where rust is a risk, treat it.All nuts & bolts, batt terminals etc.
If spraying, use the lowest pressure poss to reduce waste.Confusedalut::thumbsup: Contrary to the misconception of one member,I don't put it on toast,I use axle grease.

The Waxoyl that drips off can be used again by the way.
