After Market Stereo
#1
Good Evening my fellow Berlingo Drivers...............

I have just purchased a Berlingo Crew Van L2, I would like to swap out the factory head unit and replace it with a USB/Bluetooth model. I would have preferred to have a Citroen connection box fitted, but was unable to as the Berlingo was already in production when i ordered it.

So an after market stereo seems like the next best option, The question i have is will the top display still work when i remove the stereo? i.e. display time, date, temperature, Miles to empty etc?

Thanks

Chris

the display will still work as normal but you wont be able to change the time as that's done through the original stereo

I've not looked at the rear of the radio but I wonder if it has a USB socket?
The IPod dock was an option when new so it must have connected in some way.

I doubt the display would work with a replacement radio as it seems to be integrated quite a bit along with the stalk remote, maybe release the radio out of its housing and have a look see. If you find a solution I'm sure quite a few here would like to know how to connect their MP3 player.

i don't change the time, my double din has a clock on it, to change the time you would have to refit genuine unit.
