This post is for information with the anticipation that it may assist others.
I needed to replace my MK2 Van front seats due to spinal surgery, the existing seats were nowhere near supportive enough.
My wife has a Rover CityRover and despite the general reputation of this car being a nail from new it does actually have top quality seats both in terms of ergonomics and materials, I found I was able to drive her car with comfort and no need for further back support eg cushions etc, her car had done 70k miles.
So after a little searching around I found a brand new drivers seat on Ebay for £43 inc postage and a low mileage (18 k ) but grubby passenger seat for a tenner locally.
New securing brackets were needed of course, the rear comprising of a flat bar mounted horizontally between the existing Berlingo mounting points with a 90 bracket going upwards for the n/s.
The front of the seats needed individual brackets which were straightforward to fabricate using 6mm plate and nuts / bolts.
Photographs below, some tidying of the carpet etc still under way, the seatbelt mounts are not yet fitted but will be standard Rover parts and are bolt on, these didn't come with the seats but should be easily bought for a tenner from a scrap yard.
