[Engine] non starter

Hi all
My Niece runs a Mk2 berlingo and has had trouble for some time with intermittent failure to start no real clues until today although when left would restart using easystart spray,she said to me that she seemed to have problems after using the air con or heating as an engineer I could not see how this could affect engine starting.
However today she left us and on the way home in severe conditions put on the demist and heating. The anti pollution light came on and when she got home and stopped tried a restart would not restart spins over but will not fire up after 1 hour got it started using easystart spray.
I would greatly value any input from you all on this.
Ps What does the anti pollution light mean?

Does your niece have any problems starting the engine when its cold?

Seem to me your only having problems when the engine is hot, which normally points to the injectors.

What engine is it ? could be the cat getting blocked Does your Niece do a lot of short trip's and stop starting When you get it running take it for a good long run on a main road or motor way keeping the rpm up 2500 and above to blow all the crap out of the cat and exhaust do this for at least 10 minute
