boot jump camper
#1
Hi all,

I've been looking at the boot jump camper, have any of you out there bought one. At first look I think it looks great, but I thought I'd get some feed back before i took a plunge. I had a few questions like how strong is it, does it have good brackets holding it together, is it ply wood ? and how think, is it comfortable. my experince with campers is with caravans and they were always very thin ply reinforced with wood struts, which had to be replaces from time to time.

I ask all these as its a fair investment and I just want to make sure its a good quality item. like I say, it looks good from the photos and videos, but what say you all.

cheers

Try google for amdro boot jump reviews. There's a nice one by Jester Bushcraft.

So where does this bit go then ?

good vid and review, keep pondering if you have to have the rear seats in or it will work with out them, means more storage or could get creates to replace the seats for the hight

My take on this sort of thing is that it looks neat & clever but it is in fact a pain to use. You can file this with VW campers & Eriba Puck caravans, they look terrific but their lack of space for self & gear plus that you are constantly banging your head unless you are about 5ft tall spoils the whole experience. I've had my share of VW campers & Eriba caravans & I love to see them but the best bit of camping equipment I've ever had is what I have now. It is a 1985 ABI caravan 12foot body I bought off ebay for £300 4yrs ago now. I've done a bit of work on it, serviced the brakes & put new tyres on. Its practical & user friendly & weighs less than 700kg all up so tows well behind the Berl.
