Ralle's Berlingo
#1
Hello everyone!

I got my Berlingo just over two weeks ago. It's Bleu Belle e-HDi 92 with bmp6 auto gearbox. Now little over 1100km's on the clock. Just love the car, it got very good space inside so two middle sice dogs can travel with me and my wife.

What have i done to this car now?

Rear classes have been tinted 20% window film, that was perfect so it's little dark but at winter and night you see trough it very vell.

Tow bar was fittet tuesday, it's removable and electrics also turn behind of the rear bumber.

Just arrived home Smile

Today was time to put winter tyres, tomorrow forecast told that it could be 10cm ( 4" ) snow. Hopefully not that much Smile

Time will tell how Lingo can do scandinavian flick.

What do you mean with E box? Or do you mean BMP6?

OK, so here are some things i noticed about this bmp6 gearbox. When we test drove are Berlingo, first we tested C4 Picasso Gasoline powered 2 litre with bmp. I hated the box. Car was driven about 80 000 miles and so on.

Then we tested Berlingo. I noticed that with Diesel it kind of worked better. There is always a cut on power when it changes gears, so if you try to rush your way there is that back and forward action you do then car changes. You get used to it, and this you have to live with if you want automatic Lingo, here the bmp6 is only with diesel.

I have driven zf 4hp14/20 and AL4 boxes and they are more smooth changing boxes. But you have to remember they are build automatic boxes, not as i have understand bmp6 is manual box that has been converted automatic with electric control.

Hope this helps someone to make decision to buy or not bmp6.

Now i have all things ready for saturday when i install lights and mud flaps. Forecast said that it goes under zero celsius tomorrow evening so i plan wash Lingo and drive it to garage to dry. Then wax on, wax off or how they said in Karate Kid???
