High mileage/reliability
#1
I came across a "for sale" ad for a petrol 1.6 mk1 Multispace which had covered nearly 160,000 miles and looked to be in remarkably good condition. This got me thinking about how well Berlingos generally hold together once the miles add up.

I have no doubt that there are vans out there with USS Enterprise type mileages, so who has done what mileages (or kilometers) and what broke along the way?

I'll start with my rather lightweight effort;

Petrol 1.6
total (miles) 38,000 (1500 in my ownership)
1 fuse replaced
2005 Berlingo Multispace 1.6i Desire (Iron Grey)

If everything seems to be going well, you have obviously overlooked something.

What Car? magazine's 2010 reliability survey said this of Citroen:

11th out of 32

Last year’s position 14th out of 30
Cars needing repair work 23%
Average repair cost £262
Star model Saxo (’96-’04)
Citroën just misses out on a top-10 slot, but still manages to beat prestige rivals such as Volkswagen and Volvo. The majority of its cars earned four- or five-star results, with the Saxo (’96-’04) and C5 (’04-’08) the stand-out models. Just under a third of all problems were down to the electrics, and overall Citroën had one of the lowest average repair bills.

There was a similar thread on a German forum and a number of owners reported 250000 to 500000 km with few problems.

I have only owned one Citroen before (a 1995 AX around 12 years ago) and that was faultless. My dad has owned two, a ZX diesel which had perfect electrics but engine and (auto)gearbox problems and finally an XM estate which led an incredibly hard life but soldiered on for over 250,000 miles before it was abandoned in France due to the cost of repairs.

139,000 - several lamps, water pump (as a precaution when the timing belt was done), an 2 alternators.

P.S. It's really a Partner - am I still allowed in???

I have more to add...

3 bulbs for brake light bar and replacing side lights again. But as pk pointed out I need a voltage regulator too, and I was told it could be why bulbs are blowing
