No Speedometer :(

Hi folks,

As the title says, my speedo doesn't work. It hasn't worked since I bought the car either.
Today I fitted a known good speed sensor on to the box, plugged it in and tried it. Still no joy

What do you suggest next? Try another dash/instrument panel or should I be looking at the collar that the driveshaft goes through the middle of (I believe that's to do with the speedo)?

Vehicle is a 2001 with DW8 engine.

instrument panel, had this happen on my 2001 dw8, if you do a search a few people have had same problem

Cheers Finny, I'll grab another one from the scrap yard out of a Pug206, as I believe they are the same.

Well, after 2 days of running the car about, trip is showing 26 miles, so I'm hopeful that it is the speedo that's at fault. Unfortunately, I'm working the next two Saturdays, so won't get a chance to go and get one from the scrappy to try. I'm quietly confident though
