[Engine] engine replacement

Hi,wonder if anyone can help I have a 2003 van with a1.4 petrol lpg engine which has blown the head gasket and warped the head .can anyone tell me which engine I can replace this with as someone has offered me a 1.4 saxo engine which is a 2001 .does anyone know the difference in the engine codes. thanks

See if you can get a TU5JP4 engine that can be found in many peugeos and citroens. Have a search on google and see what you think.

The TU5 is the 1.6i model. That may require a different gearbox?

This is a 2003 model, so it has a BSI. Does it need any updates if you get a different ECU?
(Someone else on the forum should knnow this)
With a TU3JP4 of the same age, you could reuse the ECU(check that they have the same model ECU first) and avoid problems.
